Women's Division I Top 25: Oct. 6
Is a challenger for West Virginia's Big 12 supremacy ready to emerge?
With two more wins in conference play, thanks in part to the continued dominance of Liana Salazar, Kansas rolled to a 13-1 record over the weekend and slots in at No. 11 in the latest TDS 25.
Matchups against Texas Tech and West Virginia will determine the Jayhawks' conference fate over the next few weeks, but the Midwest outfit is continue to prove itself thanks to consistency and timely goals.
Elsewhere across the nation, No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 Stanford on course for their Thursday meeting with identical 10-0-2 records. The two teams will meet in Westwood after the Bruins won a pair of 1-0 encounters, defeating Colorado and Utah. The Cardinal, meanwhile, picked up wins against Washington and Washington State.
Another team that's rolling through its conference schedule is Penn State. Now ranked at No. 5, the Nittany Lions won a pair of road games, beating Minnesota and then topping its closest Big Ten rivals Wisconsin on Sunday.
Trailing right behind the Nittany Lions in the Top 25 is another team with a perfect conference record is SEC leaders Florida. The Gators excelled away from Gainesville, beating Top 25 side Texas A&M, and also holding off a tough Arkansas team 3-1.
