Women's Patriot, SoCon, SLC & MWC Previews
The TDS college soccer preview continues with a look into Patriot, SoCon, SLC & MWC women's soccer conferences.
Patriot League Preview
In a league filled with teams with solid defenses, Bucknell reigned supreme after winning the conference tournament thanks to back-to-back penalty shootout wins following 0-0 draws. In all, no Patriot League team averaged more than 1.4 goals a game last season, a rarity in collegiate soccer. With a new season around the corner, the defenses will remain as staunch as ever, meaning plenty of parity and no game is out of reach.

They lost just once in eleven league games, then won the conference tournament in a 4-1 victory. And although they lose their top scorer in the impressive Christine Kitaru, the staff has done a great job in bringing many of its seniors back as grad students for one last run.

Mountain West Conference Preview
In one of the most highly competitive conference seasons in NCAA history, Wyoming, New Mexico, and San Jose State drew for first place just two points above Utah State and San Diego State, who tied for second. It is rare to see a conference with that much parity, and it makes for quality viewing as San Jose State took home the conference tournament championship in a penalty victory over Wyoming. There is no clear favorite for next season as the teams battle again, knowing every league game is as important as a conference championship.
