Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 to No. 21 Denison
GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Adrian College women's soccer team gave No. 21 Denison University all it could handle, but fell short 1-0 at Barclay-Thomsen Field. The Lady Bulldogs go to 2-2 on the season, while Denison improves to 2-2-1.
It took the nationally ranked Big Red 66:43 minutes to score the lone goal of the game against the relentless Adrian's defense, led by junior midfielder Patti Vaassen. Denison's junior Sara Livingston managed to sneak the ball past Adrian's goalie which found the lower right 90 of the net.
After being outshot 13-0 in the first half, Adrian regrouped and earned four shots (three on goal) against Denison in the second half.
The Lady Bulldog's keeper Chayna Wallace corralled in three saves on the day.
Adrian is back in action this Wednesday (Sept. 14) as it travels in its conference opener at Alma. Match is slated for 4:00pm.
