Women's Soccer Edged by Suffolk
A Suffolk goal in the 85th minute gave the Rams a 1-0 victory over Albertus Magnus College in women's soccer on Wednesday night in Somerville, Mass.
With the loss, Albertus moves to 7-4 on the year and 5-3 in GNAC play. Suffolk improves to 2-5 in the league with its win, while moving to 4-6 overall on the season.
Monica Wolf scored her fourth goal of the year with five minutes left in regulation as Suffolk outshot the Falcons 12-6 on the night. Albertus recorded just two shots on goal in 90 minutes played.
Sarah Boudreau (Pascoag, R.I.) took the loss in net in just her third game between the pipes this season for the Falcons. The senior, who hadn't played in goal since September 3, made four stops and allowed one goal on the night.
Melissa Brouillette earned the win for the Rams as she recorded two saves.
Albertus returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 in a home match against GNAC foe Emerson. The contest is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m.
