TDS Team of the Week (Nov. 17-23):
Player of the Week: M Lo'eau LaBonta, Stanford
GK Abbey Crider, South Carolina – Making her first career start in the NCAA tournament on Friday, Crider responded with a shutout against Seattle, and when the Gamecocks failed to score, Crider made two saves in the ensuing penalty shootout that South Carolina won. In Sunday’s third round matchup with hosts North Carolina, she made three saves in a second straight shutout triumph.
D Kristin Grubka, Florida State – The Seminoles are steamrolling towards a fourth straight College Cup, qualifying for the NCAA quarterfinals for the tenth year in a row. Senior center back Grubka played a huge role, playing all 180 minutes of shutout soccer and netting the game-winning goal against UCF on Sunday.
D Ally Courtnall, UCLA – A track star and outstanding right back, Courtnall was one of many standouts for the Bruins in a 7-0 demolishing of Harvard, and her outlet pass to Darian Jenkins triggered the winning sequence in a 1-0 defeat of Pepperdine.
D Kori Chapic, Penn State – The senior defender assisted on the lone goal in Friday’s 1-0 defeat of Connecticut, while she also logged 90 minutes in Sunday’s 2-1 narrow win against Virginia Tech.
M Morgan Brian, Virginia – In her final two shifts at Klockner Field, Brian put in a pair of performances to remember, scoring two goals and adding three assists in a pair of wins against Rutgers and Kentucky, which Virginia won by a combined score of 10-0.
M Annie Speese, Florida – Scored two goals and had two assists in two tournament wins over the weekend as the Gators marched on towards a quarterfinal matchup with Stanford. Speese’s second goal of the weekend against Texas Tech stood up as the winner in a 3-2 victory.

M Kelley Monogue, Texas A&M – Monogue’s performance elevated to the Aggies into the quarterfinals. She scored a brace in a 7-2 win over Arizona on Friday, following that up with a 2-1 defeat of
M Sarah Killion, UCLA – When Killion’s penalty found the back of the net just 1:16 into the matchup with Harvard on Friday night, it was a sign of things to come for the Bruins, which eventually rang up seven goals on the night, with Killion adding a second and providing an assist in another solid performance.
F Makenzy Doniak, Virginia – The dynamic Californian scored four goals and had three assists in the two dominant wins. She’ll look to carry that form into a heck of a matchup against UCLA on Friday.
