USC(w) senior Maile Hayes is the latest Player of the Week after her two clutch performances guided the Trojans to the elite eight.

The first standout showing came in a 4-3 second-round shootout victory over Saint Louis as Hayes scored the opener, assisted the second, then won and converted the penalty kick to win the game in overtime. Then, versus Wisconsin, the Texas native scored on a clever second-half chip in the 3-1 victory.

GK: Mackenzie Gress, Penn State(w) - With four saves and a clean sheet versus TCU and another six saves with just one conceded versus Vanderbilt, Gress led the Nittany Lions to the elite eight.

D: Allie George, Virginia Tech(w) - The forward converted to defender showcased her versatile toolbox with 180 minutes played, an assist versus UCLA, and a goal versus Iowa in two upset victories.

D: Tessa Dellarose, North Carolina(w) - Dellarose was at the center of everything positive North Carolina did, scoring a last-second winner versus Santa Clara, then playing 89 minutes in a 3-0 shutout of Minnesota.

D: Ginger Fontenot, Penn State(w) - In two sensational performances, Fontenot made several goal-stopping tackles in a 1-0 defeat of TCU, then added an assist to lead Penn State to a 3-1 defeat of Vanderbilt.

M: Lily Joseph, Notre Dame(w) - The freshman midfielder was a dazzling performer, scoring twice versus Kentucky before adding an assist against Mississippi State to push Notre Dame to the elite eight.

M: Maggie Graham, Duke(w) - Graham notched two goals in the 3-0 defeat of Texas Tech, then played 83 minutes as Duke shut out Michigan State to move on to the quarterfinal.

M: Emily Colton, Wake Forest(w) - Colton scored the opener versus Colorado, then played 81 minutes in a narrow 1-0 victory over Ohio State.

M: Helena Sampaio, USC(w) - The senior midfielder orchestrated the USC attack with ease, delivering an assist in a 4-3 defeat of Saint Louis, then scoring a curling free kick to beat Wisconsin 3-1.

F: Emily Murphy, Wake Forest(w) - Murphy continued her excellent postseason with goals in the second and third-round victories over Colorado and Ohio State.

F: Izzy Engle, Notre Dame(w) - Engle extended her scoring streak to five games with goals versus Kentucky and Mississippi State, guiding the Irish to the quarterfinal.
