Young talent thrived in the 2018 Women's Division I season.

Florida State leaned on two freshmen, Yujie Zhao and Jaelin Howell, in its title-winning season. Goalkeeper Brooke Bollinger was a standout before suffering an injury in the ACC tournament.

National runners up North Carolina relied on Brianna Pinto in the midfield, while Rachel Jones was one of the many players to rotate in off the bench. Pac-12 power USC counted on the finishing touch of Penelope Hocking, who carried her club form into her freshman season, while U.S. youth internationals Naomi Girma and Sophia Smith (before Smith picked up a season-ending injury) were key figures.

Back in the ACC, Virginia is represented with two players in the Top 11 (Rebecca Jarrett and Alexa Spaanstra), while Duke checks in with a trio of players.
