Wesley Turner, Midfielder, New England Revolution
Class: 2014
Commitment: Northeastern

A member of the New England Revolution Academy, Wesley Turner found the right destination not too far from home to continue his playing career.

“I decided to commit to Northeastern because of the top notch quality of the Division I soccer program, excellent coaching staff, excellent academic environment with multitude of majors being offered and the co-op program,” he told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “I am also extremely excited to be given the opportunity to attend school in the heart of Boston.”

The school’s program has made strides of late in what is an extremely competitive Colonial Athletic Association, and Turner is excited about the prospect of joining a program that is competing for championships.

The location also didn’t hurt.

The school is in the heart of Boston, offers highly competitive and rigorous academic programs and offers a further opportunity to access work experience while still in school through their co-op program,” Turner said. “To have both high-level academics and high-level Division I soccer in the heart of Boston under one roof is truly an opportunity that I feel grateful and excited for, and I look forward to the challenges I will meet there.”

Nicholas Ulowetz, Defender, NW Nationals
Class: 2013
Commitment: Gonzaga

Making the decision to commit to Gonzaga came after a long and thorough search for Nicholas Ulowetz.

“I narrowed my college choices down to schools that offered great business and engineering degrees as well as being somewhat close to home, but far enough away for my independence,” he told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “Gonzaga University fit all that I was looking for; during my time there and after I graduate.  I have chosen to obtain my degree in Business Administration, and playing soccer for Coach Thorarinsson and contributing to their continued success makes it that much better.”

It was clear that the coaching staff had made a significant impression on Ulowetz as well, another big factor in his decision.

“The soccer program has great coaches, a family atmosphere with great support among the players, great facilities, and a great Division 1 – West Coast Conference,” he said. “The program allows each player the opportunity to contribute.  I am extremely excited for the next step in my life.”

Babatunji Osifeso, Forward, Baltimore Bays
Class: 2013
Commitment: Campbell

Another player heading off to school this fall is Baltimore Bays attacker Babatunji Osifeso, who found plenty he liked about the North Carolina institution.

“I decided to commit to Campbell because I felt Campbell offered me the best overall package,” he said. “The school is amazing, the team is really good, especially in the possession category and that is very key in any team. I feel as if I fit in well with team and I hope to go far in the season.”
