A technical, tall and athletic goalkeeper, Lauren Demarchi chose Vanderbilt because of the school offered from an academic as well as an athletic standpoint.
“Vanderbilt is the most academically oriented SEC school and is therefore the perfect fit for me,” she told TopDrawerSoccer. “The coaching staff is incredibly competitive and is striving to build the program into an always competing SEC school.”
With both Georgetown and Penn on her radar, it’s no surprise that she’ll play for former Penn head coach Darren Ambrose, who took over the SEC program earlier in the year.
