Starting today, results will start to replace the hype when it comes to high school soccer in Arizona and California.

Winter high school regular season play begins this week in Arizona and California, which will join Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi as states in action. Hawaii starts next week with regular-season play and most of Texas won't start until January.

The limited play between the preseason and first weekly SIMA FAB 50 rankings of the season resulted in very little change. In fact, the top 24 boys teams remain in their preseason order, with Montverde Academy (Fla.) topping the chart with a 9-0 record. Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) remains No. 1 in the girls SIMA FAB 50.
