HS: 6-goal outing saves team's Top 10 spot
October 21, 2015
In a week full of last-minute goals and one-goal matches, there was one mind-blowing performance that saved a team's Top 10 ranking.
Maggie Basta scored six goals, and the team needed every one of them as Greenwich Academy (Greenwich, Conn.) girls held off Hopkins School 7-5. Basta even assisted the team's other goal. The win secured the Greenwich Academy's No. 9 ranking for the week.
Among the top teams, there was not much movement as the boys and girls top 5 teams combined to go 20-0-1. South Kent School (South Kent, Conn.) boys and Noble and Greenough (Dedham, Mass.) girls continue to hold down the No. 1 rankings.
