HS: Berkshire, Nobles take over as Prep 1s
The past six years of Prep School boys soccer largely has been a two-horse race for the Prep No. 1 ranking between Berkshire School (Mass.) and South Kent School (Conn.)
Last week, those undefeated powers squared off and Berkshire emerged with a 4-2 victory and the Prep No. 1 ranking. If the Bears win out, they will take the Prep No. 1 title back to Sheffield, Mass.
In girls soccer, there was a change at the top -- and it's likely not to be the last.
Noble and Greenough (Mass.) moves to No. 1, ahead of Choate Rosemary Hall (Conn.) and Hotchkiss School (Conn.). All three have one loss -- and its to teams either lower or outside of the rankings. Ultimately, the Prep A tournament champion figures to be the final No 1 team this season.
