TOP STORY: Terry Michler, whose exact win total is unknown, recorded his 900th career victory at Christian Brothers College (St. Louis, Mo.) over the weekend, making his milestone the week's top story.
Before taking over CBC in 1971, Michler spent two years as a head coach in Kansas City.
Michler uses his 45-year CBC mark as his "official" win-loss record, and at 900 wins, he's a runaway No. 1 nationally.
BIG MOVERS: BOYS: Morton (Cicero, Ill.) is never short on talent. After all, the school enjoys a student population of more than 7,000 from which to assemble a high school sports team. Last week this perennial state title challenger posted a pair of 5-0 wins to move from No. 47 to No. 23 in this week's SIMA FAB 50 rankings. GIRLS: [Davis] (Kaysville, Utah.). Davis powered its way to a pair of 8-0 wins last week. The team with nine college-committed players moves from No. 17 to No. 10 this week. So far this season, Davis has outscored its opponents 32-1.
