HS: Spring state, region rankings, May 18
Spring high school soccer champions were crowned in four states over the weekend, and the net result will be quite a shuffle among the Top 25 teams in Tuesday's SIMA FAB 50.
The girls at Marist School (Atlanta, Ga.) had its three-year undefeated run ended in a state final loss, marking the third different No. 1 team in Georia in three weeks. J.L. Mann (Greenville, S.C.) swept the boys and girls large-school state titles in South Carolina, giving the Patriots top billing in the Palmetto State. And a pair of Oklahoma favorites capped undefeated instate showings as the boys at Norman North (Norman, Okla.) and the girls at [Union ok-w] (Tulsa, Okla.) claimed state titles.
On the boys side, Nebraska, Virginia and Washington have new No. 1 teams. In addition to Georgia and South Carolina, the No. 1 ranking changed hands in Arkansas and Michigan in girls soccer this week.
