HS: State, region rankings, March 12
A pair of NorCal programs -- St. Ignatius (San Francisco, Calif.) boys and Monte Vista (Danville, Calif.) -- finish their season ranked No. 1 in California following NorCal Regional titles over the weekend.
For St. Ignatius, the title will result in the highest ever FAB 50 ranking for the program. Meanwhile, Monte Vista also will finish among thenation's elite. There is still a month remaining for the high school winter season as Texas has yet to start postseason play.
In the early stages of the spring season, surprises in Georgia and North Carolina girls and Georgia and South Carolina boys helped reshape those states' ranking, as well as the regional rankings.
