HS: TeamSnap Girls All-America Update
October 25, 2016
More than 300 fall-playing high school boys players made the cut for the TeamSnap All-America Watch List.
This list is tweaked and updated every week throughout the fall high school season, which runs until Thanksgiving week. Players, through coaches recommendations and TopDrawerSoccer staff observations, will be added each week to the list as performances warrant. The only players that will be removed from the list will be athletes who are no longer playing high school soccer or sustain a season-ending injury that will take them out of all-state consideration.
Here are some recent top performances from players on the TeamSnap All-America Watch List:
GIRLS
- Marin Auth, Medina (Ohio), Sr., MF/D: Auth played at Walsh Jesuit (Ohio) as a freshman and sophomore before transfering to Medina. Heading into this week's action, Auth, a four-year varsity player, has a career record of 76-1-8. Ironically, the lone loss for Auth was last year when Medina lost to Walsh Jesuit. Auth has committed to Washington State.
- Lauren Bouvia, Weiser (Idaho), Sr., F: How funny is to say Bouvia hd a "down" year, only scoring 96 goals this season for Weiser. The bar was quite high for this UC Davis commit who scored a national record 127 goals last year as a junior. Bouvia concluded her high school with a national record 309 career goals.
- Hope Breslin, Massapequa (N.Y.), Sr., F/MF: Breslin set the school's all-time goalscoring record a couple weeks ago, which is no easy feat at this perennial New York powerhouse. Breslin's efforts clipped the previous record set by current Boston College player Rosie DiMartino. Breslin has committed to Illinois.
- Kristina Lynch, Penn (Mishawaka, Ind.), Jr., F: The Florida State commit has helped Penn reach the Indiana Class AA state final. Lynch has 37 goals and 25 assists as Penn enters the final with a 21-0-1 record.
- Olivia Wade, Davis (Kaysville, Utah), Jr., F: Wade's 39th goals of the year gave Davis a 1-0 lead en route to a 2-1 state final victory over Fremont (Utah). The BYU commit has been a major part of Davis' state record 44-match win streak.
NOTE: The fall All-America watch list includes only players from high school teams that compete during the fall season. The Winter All-America watch list will be released in November, and the Spring All-America watch list will follow in February.
