BIG MOVERS -- BOYS: Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.). Losing is never good, but in Hamilton's case, it was the wins before the loss that led to a 12-spot jump in this week's rankings. Hamilton traveled to the Lotto Sport Western Showcase and placed second, falling to SIMA FAB 50 No. 5 Buchanan (Clovis, Calif.) in the final. Hamilton opened the tournament with a 4-1 win over Loyola (Los Angeles, Calif.), which was as high as No. 4 in the SIMA FAB 50 in the preseason, then pinned a loss on Top 25-ranked Watsonville (Watsonville, Calif.) in a match settled on penalty kicks.  GIRLS: San Juan Hills (San Juan Capostrano, Calif.). San Juan Hills' season-opening win over Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) is starting to pay big dividends. The series of results based off the victory moves San Juan Hills from No. 41 to No. 9 this week.

LOOKING AHEAD: -- BOYS: Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, Calif.) and Paramount (Paramount, Calif.) are scheduled to meet Tuesday. The winner will have the inside track toward a Top 10 ranking. The teams tied earlier in the year at the Aliso Cup, and Los Alamitos won on penalties. GIRLS: No 3 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and No. 5 Carondelet (Concord, Calif.) will be the featured teams in this week's Tri-Valley Classic, but unfortunately they are not scheduled to face each other in the mixer event.
