Malibu Soccer Academy is a walk on the beach
March 10, 2011
Is it a soccer camp, or the ideal summer vacation getaway?
The Malibu Soccer Academy’s Girls College ID Camp, held at the picturesque home of Pepperdine, is a little bit of both.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California, this four-day gathering of fun and instruction puts young players on the beach and on the road to understanding their college options.
And in between this fun-filled vacation experience, there’s some soccer played too.
Taking place from June 21-24, the camp finds Ward, and his dedicated staff of college coaches and Pepperdine players, truly committed to helping young players find their place at the college level – wherever that might be.
The camp is specifically designed for advanced female players who are looking to play and compete at the highest collegiate level. Through technical and tactical training, classroom sessions and a very honest and personable evaluation at the conclusion of the camp, players will leave this event knowing exactly where they stand and how they can improve.
Not that they’ll ever want to leave.
The camp allows players to stay in the Pepperdine student residence halls and partake from the dining center, just as a student athlete would.
Time is ticking and space is limited, so reserve your spot in soccer paradise today.

“We have one of the most unique camp settings in the country because of our location,” said Pepperdine women’s coach Tim Ward, who leads the camp with his entire staff. “More than anything, we want to make sure our camp attendees have fun – we take them to the beach and truly enjoy the weather and beauty here.”And in between this fun-filled vacation experience, there’s some soccer played too.
