Northwestern camps 'will change your life'
This summer, Northwestern will host men’s soccer camps for developing athletes. With multiple camps for all levels, there is surely an option that appeals to you.
Tim Lenahan, head coach of men’s soccer at Northwestern, describes these gatherings as “Four Days That Will Change Your Life”. These are more than just camps; they’re defining experiences that infuse players with passion and energy for the game.
In addition, each camp is designed to help athletes grow and develop so that they can reach their full potential. One of the main goals is to help the athletes get a sense of what collegiate soccer is all about and what it takes to play at that level. In this respect, the camp largely replicates a typical collegiate preseason. Players train and work hard each day as they develop their skills and get a sense of the student athlete experience.
The soccer fields are located right on Lake Michigan, creating an amazing backdrop and a great setting for both soccer and enjoying the experience. At the end of the camp, the lake becomes a marvelous backdrop for the tournament. Players will also have the opportunity to experience life on a college campus and get to train using the college facilities.
But growth and development is not the only focus of the Northwestern soccer camps. The camps are also focused on giving players maximum exposure. College coaches from all around the country will attend, providing players with the chance to make connections and showcase their skills. Some of Northwestern’s own student athletes will also be in attendance as many of them were initially recruited as part of these camps.
Supplementing the on-field work is a lecture series that enlightens players on how they can successfully navigate the recruiting process and get the attention of top programs.
