2018 Boys Regional Rankings update
Following the release of the IMG Academy Top 150 Boys Soccer Players for the class of 2018 on Monday, TopDrawerSoccer unveiled the regional rankings on Thursday. The regional rankings are a collection of the best players from every corner of the United States. Each region’s list is assembled with the help of coaches and scouts from across the country. The TopDrawerSoccer staff has the final say in the placement and rating and each player.

The summer update for the Boys Class of 2018 featured a number of new players to the national ranking list, which was revealed earlier this week. Philadelphia Union’s Anthony Fontana was the top newcomer to the list, and he takes over the top spot in the Pennsylvania rankings for this class. Texans SC Houston’s Christian Cappis was originally listed as a 2017 in the TopDrawerSoccer rankings, but his class has been corrected to 2018 and he has taken over some of the highly coveted spots in the national and regional rankings. Cappis is the No. 2 player in the Texas region for the 2018 class.
Outside of the Top 150, there were plenty of new additions to the regional rankings. New UC Santa Barbara commit Zade Ghani jumps into the regional rankings in the Rocky Mountain & Southwest region. He is one of three Gaucho commits from that region.

Atlanta United’s Alessandro Castro jumps up the regional rankings in the South Atlantic. Castro was a key player for Atlanta United in the run to the National Championship in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy U15/U16 age group.
Baltimore Armour’s Stephen Nicholls and Jacob Williams are two players on the move in the Mid Atlantic. They are top players in that region not in the top 150, but players to watch for the next update.
