2019 Boys IMG Academy Top 150 spring update
There’s a new No. 1 player in the IMG Academy Top 150 ranking for the boys class of 2019. New York City FC defender/midfielder James Sands is now the top player in the ranking system from TopDrawerSoccer presented by IMG Academy. Sands is a standout at the club level and has been a rising prospect with the U.S. U17 Men’s National Team, which is at the CONCACAF Championship this month.
FC Dallas’ Jesus Ferreira, FC Barcelona’s Konrad de la Fuente, Real Salt Lake’s Taylor Booth, and LA Galaxy’s John Hilton round out the top five for the spring update to the National Top 150 players in this age group.
Among the players making a debut with this list, Lonestar midfielder Aidan O’Toole comes in at No. 35. O’Toole was recently part of the U.S. U16 Boys National Team for a tournament in France. He has been a starter for his club team all season. Orlando City’s Jordan Bender, FC Golden State’s Victor Rangel, Sockers’ Stefan Stojanovic and Baltimore Armour’s Chase Webbert all make the list in the top 50 for the first time.
Among returners, FC Dallas goalkeeper Michael Collodi and Karlsruher midfielder Ian Hoffman make a big leap up the rankings with the spring update. Collodi checks in at No. 37 in the class of 2019. Hoffman is No. 40 in the updated rankings.
