2019 Boys Regional Rankings Update
TopDrawerSoccer.com talks a lot about the outstanding youth players in the IMG Academy 150, but there are hundreds of others in each age group that deserve recognition too. So, each Friday following the Monday release of an IMG Academy 150 update, we highlight eleven of the regionally ranked players from around the country for that class. All were recommended for their respective regional lists by our network of scouts and coaches.
You can check their rankings as well as all the other regionally ranked players here.

Will Burns, M, North Carolina Fusion – Burns plays a midfield role for coach Will Mack’s U14 Development Academy squad. He also is a member of the Futsal Southeast Region Team, and attended Futsal National Camp.
Ezekiel Hermosillo, D, Northbay Timbers – A defender for the Timbers 00/01 team that plays in the USYS Central California SL, Hermosillo was a part of the back line for the Cal-N ODP squad that upset Cal-S to win the ODP Region IV championships in January of 2015. He was named to the Reg IV Top 18 at the tournament, and has been named to the USYS ODP Region IV squad for 2001s.
Jose Olmos, D, LA Galaxy South Bay – Olmos is a defender for LA Galaxy South Bay’s Gold squad that finished sixth in the prestigious Southern California Developmental Soccer League. Like Hermosillo, he was named to the Top 18 for the ODP Region IV Championships.
Liam Butts, F, Gol Soccer Academy – Butts scored three goals for GSA during USYS National League play during the 2014-15 season, and was named to the all-star team for the 2014 ODP Thanksgiving Interregional.
Jake Kwiatkowski, D, Carolina Rapids – A technically sound, strong 1v1 defender for Kevin Flanagan’s U14 Development Academy, Kwiatkowski started 27 of 29 matches during the 2014-15 regular season.
Will Jackson, M, Internationals – Recommended to us by regional scouts in the Midwest, Jackson is the starting left midfielder for Internationals U14 Development Academy. He scored eight goals in Development Academy play during 2014-15.
Tyler Perrie, GK, Bethesda SC – Perrie is a developmental player for the Bethesda-Olney Development Academy U14s and attended US Club Soccer’s id2 camp in Arizona last January.
Jacob Schaffer, D, Empire Revolution – This New York club doesn’t play a full academy schedule at the U14 age group, so opportunities to see these players are pretty much limited to a couple of showcases a year. Schaffer started 11 of Empire’s 14 matches this season in center back and was recommended to us based on his ability to defend against players a year older and stronger.
Kyle Boyd, M, Colorado Rush – Another club with a limited U14 schedule, Boyd started nine of ten matches during the 2014-15 season.
Jalen Anderson, F, New York Soccer Club – Anderson appeared in 11 goals in 17 appearances for NYSC’s U14 DA squad in 2014-15. He also made the roster for US Club’s id2 camp in Arizona.
Daniel Proctor, M, Everton FC Westchester – Proctor was spotted by our staff at Raleigh’s id2 camp in 2014, and since then has joined the Development Academy U14s where he appeared in 24 matches with 16 starts during the 2014-15 season.
