March 4, 2010
As always, there’s a great array of talent in Texas, and it makes narrowing a list of top players down to 20 very difficult, but there’s no disputing that each of the players on this 2011 Girls list is exceptional. Following is an update on each of these, and we will be going through the nation’s regions and age groups systematically to tell you more about the players we are highlighting.
Chioma Ubogagu: What else is there to say about Chioma? The speedy D’Feeters forward has been the apple of many a college coach’s eye for a while now, but only Stanford’s Paul Ratcliffe was smiling after her decision to play college soccer with the Cardinal. Ubogagu will continue to be a highlight on college and national team rosters in the years to come.
Kelley Monogue: This talented forward is on her way to Texas A&M(w). Kelley is playing high school soccer and among the area leaders in goal-scoring for her McKinney Boyd team.
Satara Murray: The Lonestar SC standout will be playing at North Carolina.
Clarissa Wedemeyer: She also sat out high school soccer but is on the U17 WNT roster for the CONCACAF Qualifying Tournament in Costa Rica. A terrific two-way midfield player with the skill and vision so necessary to be a standout in this area of the field.

Dixie Kurrus: Another player coming off an injury, Kurrus has committed to TCU.
Brooke Johnston: Still uncommitted, is playing center midfield within the diamond for Medina’s Sting squad. She is taking on a greater understanding of the group dynamic in midfield tactics, utilizing her strong passing skill and decision-making.
