Best XI: Best of the U.S. YNT boys pool
The American pool is diverse and notably difficult to pare down into a unified theme. In lieu of a unified style reaching down into the bowels of the U.S. youth national team system, players have developed quite apart from one another.
Even still, there’s unique quality sprouting through the cracks in the concrete everywhere in this country. You need only know where to look.
Today, we’re endeavoring to put together a U.S. YNT Best XI based on a blend of current ability and future prospects. Our only criteria is that each has to be currently age eligible for a U.S. YNT, and none can have appeared for the full national team already. Keep in mind that I’ve shoehorned a couple players into this 4-4-2 for the sake of their ability in lieu of putting them in their precise best position.
Inside that construct, here’s a look at my U.S. YNT Best XI of the moment.
