Yamann Sahlool, Vardar SC
Commitment: Verbal to Ohio State for the 2013 season.

Sahlool, ranked No. 93 in the 2013 Top 150 Ranking, gave us an inkling that he was leaning toward Ohio State back in April and that proved to hold true once he made his final decision.

Sahlool is a skilled attacker who can score with style. He was clearly intrigued by what the Big Ten had to offer – including interest in programs like Northwestern and Michigan – and the Buckeyes won out in the end.

Jacob Leeker, St. Louis Scott Gallagher
Commitment: Verbal to Memphis for the 2013 season.
Reason: “I chose Memphis largely due to the fact that it was the best balance between soccer and academics. I feel that Memphis is a strong soccer program and a big contributing factor is that they are moving to the Big East. On the academic side, I was accepted into their honors program.”

Leeker is a tall and strong goalkeeper who stays in shape by doing yoga. Anything for an edge.

Matthew Miazga, New York Red Bulls
Commitment: Michigan
Reason: “I felt like Michigan was the best fit for me. I think that the relationship the coaching staff and I have developed really swayed my decision and I believe that they will help me get to the next level as a player.” 

Miazga also strongly considered Virginia and St. John’s.
