A North Carolina native who grew up as a die-hard Tar Heel fan, playing at UNC one day has been an interest of Alec Smir’s for a long time.
Attending summer camps every year in Chapel Hill reinforced that desire.
“I have always come away from the camps knowing in my heart that this is where I want to play,” Smir told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “After spending more time with the coaches, seeing the campus, the training facilities, and talking to the players, I knew this was the right fit for me.”
