Last year was a season of destiny for the Portland Pilots. Under first-year head coach Nick Carlin-Voigt, the Pilots won the West Coast Conference after just winning one conference game in the previous two seasons combined.
The Pilots success under Carlin-Voigt and his coaching staff drew attention from all over the United States. It certainly helped land some talented players for the 2017 class. Monteverde midfielder Caua Soares is the latest to sign his Letter of Intent with the Pilots.
