Can USA win U17 CONCACAF Championship?
With the 2017 U17 CONCACAF Championship kicking off later this month in Panama, confidence is sky-high with the U.S. U17 Men’s National Team. The youth national team is riding a nine-game winning streak in international games, recently completed a two-game sweep of Japan in Florida in preparation of the major event, and gone 9-2 versus continental competition over the past year.
The reality is the success in the preparation does not mean much if the team struggles during the big event when the pressure is on. The USA heads into the event in Panama with high expectations. The group is full of promising players who are looking to break through in MLS this season. Notably Chris Durkin (D.C. United), Andrew Carleton (Atlanta United), and Christopher Goslin (Atlanta United) have all already signed Homegrown deals and are rated highly by their respective teams.
