Southern California squads were the story on Saturday's ECNL Girls National Finals.
Of the five age groups to contest a championship game, four were won by teams from the Southern California Conference.
Beach FC (CA) captured the Under-17 age group with a 5-1 win against regional counterparts Legends FC. After a tense 20 minutes, Player of the Match winner Avery Oder scored in the 21st minute. That opened up the scoring, and by the half, Beach led 3-0. Mechal Green and Skyla Wilkins tacked on goals. Oder added another in the second half, before a second goals from Wilkins made it 5-0 60 minutes into the match. Shannon Davidson had three assists for Beach as well. Legends pulled a goal back from an own goal.
