A jam-packed schedule made for a more chaotic day two to the Columbus College Showcase at Spindler Fields in Hilliard, Ohio, but even with a smaller number of matches than Saturday's games, Sunday still had plenty of action to offer.

The day began with a somewhat lopsided match between U-15 girls Canton United SC and Empire Revolution Buffalo. After a strong first-half performance from both sides, the match was level at 0-0. Canton goalkeeper Beth Boyles had plenty to deal with, but kept a clean sheet during the first half. But when the club switched goalkeepers for the second, Empire saw a weakness and scored four second-half goals to turn the match into a rout. Empire's Alison Jurkowski, Andrea Judasz and Calista Heister all found the back of the net in the win. The strong point for Canton was the play of midfielders Tarah McCausland and Joy Leindecker.

U-17 squads Oak Brook SC Navy and USF Real 97B played an entertaining match later in the morning. The teams played a physical match, but found their share of goals. Oak Brook controlled the first half, scoring three before the whistle. Oak Brook's Josh Anderson and Andrew Pierropolous were among those who played well in the final third, creating chance after chance in the first half. USF Real would get a goal back to begin the second half, but didn't have enough to make a comeback.

The most lopsided victory of the day went to Lake Norman SC 98 Eclipse as they took down the Tri-State Futbol Alliance Roadrunners 7-1. But the performance of the day also occurred in the match. Defender Kate Swartwout started on the back line, anchoring a defense that allowed no goals in the first half. But with about 15 minutes left, she switched to forward and scored a hat trick before the whistle, adding a fourth goal in the second half. Before Swartwout moved up top, her teammate Carson Jones scored a hat trick of her own in about 20 first-half minutes. The roadrunners dug in for the second half, however, and only allowed one goal, pulling one back of their own thanks to Taylor Rowlett.

North Shore United Blue were thwarted in their quest for an unbeaten weekend with a loss to the Toledo Celtics 00 Black to close out the day. The pair of competitive sides played an intense first half, with North Shore taking a 1-0 lead at the break thanks to a goal from winger Connor Marks. But the Celtics would find their stride in the second half, scoring three unanswered goals to stun North Shore. Forward Austin Williams caused North Shore defenders problems all day long, including scoring the final goal of the match.
