The Creighton Blue Jays have set the standard very high in recent years with back-to-back trips to College Cup and the continued excellence of sending one player to MLS every season since the start of the league.
However, there are some cracks in the armor of the Bluejays. The Missouri Valley Conference Champions did not find a target forward this season to fill the shoes of Ethan Finlay, and the 2013 recruiting class still might not have the player ready to step into that role.
This week did offer some good news for Jays fans though, as a highly sought after target forward from the 2014 class gave his verbal commitment to the program after stepping foot on campus.
