The Development Academy season wrapped up last week with the championship games in Carson, California. FC Dallas and New York Red Bulls ended up in the top spots after long journeys to the title.
During the semifinal and final round at the National Training Center, there were a number of players who had impressive individual performances. TopDrawerSoccer names the Best XI from the event.
GK Ben Hale, FC Dallas U16 - Hale and the FC Dallas defense finished the Academy playoffs without conceding a goal. He made a few great saves in the championship game to keep that shutout alive and finish the season in an impressive fashion. Hale was exceptional throughout the run to the title.
