EA National Showcase Wraps in San Diego
The EA National Showcase in San Diego at the SOCAL Complex completed on Oct 21-23 in great fashion. For all clubs, it was an opportunity to experience the EA in full effect and really feel the strength of the entire league with all the players benefiting from the environment. The event attracted some of the top universities and colleges in the Nation with UCLA, USD and many others who came out to see the level of talent and organization of the event.
PSG Florida Director, Jon Colino, talked about how incredible the weekend was, and how EA will provide his players and teams with new challenges and a great platform to develop his club forward.
“It’s been nothing but great competition, great weather, great complex and incredible exposure and games for our players, we could not be more excited to be a part of the EA,” Colino said. “Getting accepted into the EA, we saw a great opportunity and a clear competitive advantage for our club. We now look forward to the years ahead to really create and push forward together.
ALBION San Diego EA Director, Mike Ndoumbe, also spoke to the great number of college coaches in attendance over the weekend. “We are now seeing the impact the EA is making in the landscape with the attraction of top colleges from all over the US in attendance to scout the EA clubs.
The already competitive, meaningful games are now compounded by the great exposure the league is bringing to the players.
LA Surf coaches commented and agreed that the last few years inside the EA has really been foundational and to now see the full expression of the EA is exciting and promising for all.
“The EA continues to rise and rise and seeing the level of teams and overall environment we could not be more excited about the opportunity to be part of this league,” Eddie Henderson, ISC Gunners said.
Sam Nicholson, Director Laguna United, says, “The EA has provided a benchmark for competitive play that is only evolving around the regional showcase and national play. With the highest level of member clubs continually adding layers in programming and exposure, we look forward to seeing the evolution of the EA in the years to come”.
Josh Kirk, Director Pinecrest Academy says, “ The EA national events gives the players exposure to different players from around the US and the different brands of soccer that help educate the players and they must adapt accordingly.”.
