ECNL is moving the National Playoffs from Southern California to Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The league posted the updated information on the official league website last week. A spokesperson for ECNL did not immediately reply to an email seeking comment about the switch. 

The ECNL National Playoffs are scheduled to begin June 30 for the U13 through U18/19 age groups. The National Finals are still scheduled for Richmond, Virginia. 

With only 78 days remaining until the start of the playoffs, the selection of Florida seems more practical considering the time-frame and amount of moving parts involved in these types of events. 

ECNL recently canceled a national event in Arizona, which was schedule for this past weekend. The national league still has a National Event planned for May 7-9 for the U13-U14 age groups in South Carolina. There is also a National Event scheduled for May 29-31 for the U15-U17 age groups in New Jersey.

ECNL is having a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday where venue selection will probably be an important topic. Advanced registration is required to attend the town hall. 

Boys ECNL has also been through the challenges of this season with events. The league also had to cancel an event last weekend that was scheduled for Davis, California. The Boys ECNL National Playoffs are planned for July 3-9 in Greensboro, North Carolina. 

While ECNL goes through this logistically logjam, the Girls Academy League still lists Oceanside, California as the venue for their national playoffs in June.
