See TeamRank National Championship rankings criteria

The TeamRank National Championship is a unique rankings setup that only includes team performance from the current season. It begins with events in August and ends with final events in July, at which point a new competition begins and the slate is again wiped clean. Each ranking is only for that August to July season.

The U17 Florida Rush Nike squad doesn’t give up many goals, so don’t get ambitious. They’re a team that has the kind of defensive organization and shape that comes with years of playing together.

The No. 1 U17  team in our Florida Region TeamRank ranking, the Rush lost in last year’s State Cup final but returns this season with bigger goals.

“It’s really an excellent group,” said Manager Richard Gray. “It’s a large roster that is very diverse and brings so many different skill sets to the table.”

The skilled players include winger Andrew Spragg, a skilled attacker on the left; Juan Fajardo, who had a monster season last year; Jean Rivaroli and defender Zach Friedel.

The Rush play a possession oriented style – they make good use of their combinations and change the point of attack on helpless opposing defenses. The squad is already off to a strong start, having won the Disney Soccer Showcase in December, and they’re only getting stronger.

And harder to score on.

The rest of the Florda boys’ rankings features first-place U13 First Coast Kyx 97/98 Blue, U14 FC America Soccer Academy Premier, U15 West Pines United, U16 HC United and U18 HC United.

On the girls’ side, the leaders are: U13 Rockledge SC Drama Queens (State Cup), U14 Central Florida Krush Black 97, U15 HC United Red, U16 Brandon FC Flames Blue, U17 Renegades Soccer Club Lady Renegades and U18 Ponte Vedra Storm.
