CHESTER, Pa. -- The training fields outside the home of the Philadelphia Union played host to the first leg of Generation adidas Cup qualifiers for the fourth straight year.
U17 and U15 teams from Inter Miami CF opened their first GA Cup campaign and Real Salt Lake made the long trip to join the hosts, New England Revolution, New York Red Bulls and D.C. United for games on Friday, Saturday and Monday at what is known as the Power Training Complex near the Delaware River waterfront.
Real Salt Lake ended the weekend on top of both the U17 and U15 divisions with the U17 team picking up three wins out of three and the U15s picking up eight out of a possible nine points. The Red Bulls U15 team also went unbeaten in the three games with wins over Philadelphia and Miami and a scoreless draw with D.C. United.
