The Girls Academy League’s inaugural season is coming to a close in the next few weeks with the playoffs and national finals. Prior to putting a bow on a successful debut campaign, the league is hosting a talent identification event in Portland, Connecticut for the Northeast Conference on June 13. 

The event will feature the top players in the conference, as identified by coaches and scouts, in the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 age groups. There are eight coaches scheduled to work the event with training and games scheduled for each age group. 

Oakwood leads the way with call-ups. Twenty-five players from Oakwood were called into the event. STA has 23 players called into the regional showcase. There are 20 players from South Shore Select (SSS) between the five age groups.
