New York Red Bulls 01 continues its reign at the top of the Northeast Pre-Academy League and at No. 1 in our standings. But on the move this month is Prince William SI Courage 01 Red, a member of the inaugural season of the Virginia NPL, who climbs from No. 9 to No. 7. PWSI took the US Youth Soccer Region I championships last summer in the 8v8 division, and the transition to full-sided matches has been more than smooth, with the Northern Virginia squad unbeaten in league play so far.
New to the rankings this month is San Jose Earthquakes Pre Academy at No. 25. The Quakes sit on top of the California Regional League north division standings with an unbeaten record of 8-0-2.
Vardar makes a huge move up the ranks to No. 5 (from No. 13) after securing seven wins in the last month, including defeats of three Texas clubs (Solar, FC Dallas, and Houston Dynamo) at the Indiana showcase. Vardar now has a 10-0 record in the USSDA U14 division and is one of only three teams left with a perfect record, No. 1 FC Golden State and No. 3 San Jose Earthquakes being the others.
Orlando City also climbs eight spots, to No. 15, on the heels of five wins in the last month. Former college coaches and new Orlando City staff members Jeff Negalha (North Carolina) and Darren Powell (Elon) are already in the process of turning these players into MLS-worthy prospects. Forward Alejandro Pereira has 19 goals in eight matches to lead the team.

Southeast, So Cal moves at U15
Surf continues to move up the Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25, landing at No. 5 this month. Undefeated records in both the SCDSL and the Cal Regional League’s South division aid in Surf’s climb.
In the southeast, Tennessee SC 18 jumps up two spots to No. 20 as the fall season comes to a close and in anticipation of the USYS National League opener in Raleigh in a few weeks. The Region III Premier League Central leader at 4-0-0 is also in the middle of the table in the Southern Premier League.
New to this age group with this update, Seattle Sounders Academy makes its debut at No. 25 with the start of the Far West Regional League Northwest Division.

Grande Sports Academy TeamRank Top 25 is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.
The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.
Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.
A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
