Grande TeamRank update: U16-U18 Girls
Today we unveil our latest update to TeamRank, the comprehensive ranking system for elite club soccer teams nationwide, and we release the latest standings for U16, U17 and U18 Girls. Next week, we will update the younger age groups on the Boys side. We will update our National Top 25 of each age group at least once per month.

Spring break is over everywhere except Augusta, GA, so our TeamRank top 25 has been busy.
#2 So Cal Blues Dodge ECNL may be in third place in the ECNL SoCal conference, but #1 Eclipse Select better watch out as they sit idle for the next 6 weeks. Randy Dodge’s squad hasn’t lost a game in ECNL competition this season, and didn’t even concede a goal at the recent San Diego Showcase, rolling through the likes of PDA, Bethesda SC and Ohio Elite. If it weren’t for their conference standing, they would be our #1 at this point in the season.
The other team to mention this month is Washington Premier FC, who also did not concede a goal in San Diego, and climbs from #25 to #20. Currently second in the Northwest Conference, Washington Premier must face conference leader and #7 MVLA as well as conference third place Crossfire Premier before our May update.
Lonestar was idle in March, but takes over #1 anyway due to a couple of hiccups by now #4 MVLA. Lonestar is led by IMG Academy 150 standouts Mikaela Harvey, Christyna Pitre, and Katherine Uhler, and will have 3 league games remaining in April.
We mentioned Internationals SC ECNL squad as a team to watch in our last update, and true to our prediction, Keri Sarver’s squad is on the rise. With the help of Alabama commit and recent U.S. U18 Women’s National Team camp invitee Emily Ogle, Internationals are now second in the Midatlantic Conference with a perfect 7-0-0 conference record, and break into the Top 25 at #25.
OP Eagles hit TeamRank Top 5 at U18
OP Eagles are only half way through ECNL MidAtlantic Conference play, but are showing their resilience with a 7-0-0 record in conference and 11-0-2 overall, including a 1-1 tie against #5 Real So Cal in San Diego, and therefore climb from #7 to #4 in our standings. Real So Cal, likewise, has not been showing signs of senioritis, coming back from the high school break in mid March and faring well against #11 Mustang, OP Eagles and a 2-0 defeat of #19 So Cal Blues.
Next Thursday: U13, U14, and U15 Boys
TeamRank is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.
The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.
Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.
A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
