With signing day just a month away, the 2011 class is reaching some final conclusions.
Here are the latest commitments we’ve round up from high school seniors:
JoJo Andersen (D’Feeters) has committed to San Jose State. Says Andersen: “I chose San Jose State because I felt like we play the same style as we do with the D'feeters. Also, when I visited I felt so welcomed. They have good coaches, I was comfortable around the team and I felt like it was the right place for me to be.”
Soraya Toppin (FC Delco) will be attending Purdue.
Darcy Jerman (Colorado Springs) is heading to Colorado along with another Rocky Mountains standout …
Carly Bolyard (Fort Collins Arsenal), who is also attending Colorado.
Conner Mckie (Birmingham United SA) is on her way to Southern Mississippi.
Samantha Lee (Washington Premier FC) is headed to Navy.
Sophia Huerta (FC Nova (Idaho) has chosen Santa Clara.
Jamie Botteon (SoccerPlus CT) will be attending Stony Brook.
On the boys’ side:
“It’s ideal for me to stay close to my family and friends,” he said. “I’m a Florida native so I don’t see myself getting used to a cold weather city anytime soon. But also, FGCU is a rising soccer program and has a very bright and promising future.”
Eric Verso (LA Galaxy) is heading to Stanford.
LA Galaxy teammate Matthew Mardesich is off to Cornell next season.
And not to leave out the 2011 graduates: Devin L'Amoreaux, of South Carolina United FC, is staying close to home and attending South Carolina.
