It remains to be seen whether or not there is an Olympic soccer tournament in 2021.
But there were a handful of U.S.-eligible players that enjoyed mixed fortunes in this week’s MLS is back semifinals.
The Portland Timbers advanced with a 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday in Orlando. None of the quartet of teams still involved lean heavily on younger Americans (aside from perhaps the Union, who started two in the game) but those that did play in that affair managed to make an impact.
