Charlie Defeo, Seacoast United U16 Academy, Midfield/Defender: Against Wales in game two of the Four Nations Tournament, Charlie stood out posting the first two goals in a 3-0 win against a very physical Wales side. He leads the team in scoring with 9 goals and 5 assists in 12 official games. Lobsang started the season off strong as a goal scorer with 5 goals in 5 games, but as teams learned of his skills he has developed into a great passer as well. In the past month, over a 7 game stretch, Lobsang scored 4 (including a hat trick vs Jr. Voltage) of his 9 goals and dished out all of his 5 assists on the season as teams have begun to pay more attention to him.

Over the past month his tight defense has helped in shutting teams down, and Yusuf has also helped out on the offensive side with 2 goals and 2 assists in 7 games as he is able to play penetrating balls from the back to his team’s strikers.
Ismail Temirov, Burlington Catamounts/Queen City FC U16 (NH), Midfield: Ismail is “the coal that makes the engine run” for the Burlington Catamounts/QCFC Boys U-16 club. Ismail controls the way the team plays with his leadership and command for the ball. As a center midfielder in a 4-3-3, Ismail controls the tempo and position for his team. While he may not have overwhelming stats, Ismail wins the ball that leads to the assist for a goal, or makes that assist to the assist that leads to a goal. Libby Thomas, Emily Master, Kiersten Turner Seacoast United U17 (ME), Center Midfielders: You cannot talk about one of these midfield specialists without mentioning the other two. The trio of Seacoast United U17G’s midfielder possess a special chemistry that equals one cohesive midfield powerhouse – hard for an opposing offense to run through an equally as hard for their defenses to stop. Emily and Libby work in tandem communicating and controlling the midfield both defensively and offensively to create space and opportunity in which Kiersten and the Seacoast offense can move freely to initiate the attack.
