LAKEWOOD RANCH, Florida – During last week’s Nike Friendlies, there was a certain peculiarity about the U.S. U17 men’s national team roster.
Whenever a U17 team gets together, there is little surprise. Most, if not the entire roster is usually all drawn from the pool of players training at the Bradenton Residency program. This time around, however, of the 20 players on the Friendlies roster, three weren’t from Residency.
Midfielders Emerson Hyndman (Fulham FC), Cameron Lindley (Indiana Fire) and defender Jordan Cano (FC Dallas Academy) all got the chance to impress the U.S. coaching staff during the competition last week.
