NPL Boys Showcase Final Day Rundown
The final day of the US Club Soccer NPL Showcase was not short on drama or fantastic play. Here are some of the highlights.

Madison 56ers vs. LVSA 98 Boys Red 0 - 1
With clear skies and mild temperature this game was bound to be a good one.
U16 LVSA 98 Boys Red started off with goal by Steven Moreno on a breakaway run assisted by a pass from Adam Afromsky.
His crisp control of the ball allowed him to gain control of the ball and score the sole goal of the game.
The speed of game was quick the entire time with fast play by Michael Carnahan and great defense by Nicholas Delatorre and John Chavarria there was never a dull moment.
Keeper for the LVSA, Enrique Adame, worked hard for his shutout and dominated everything that came his way.
The play picked up in the second half with U16 Madison 56ers James Pretto keeping the defense together and their keeper Paul Koebke Barsic keeping more shots out of the back of the net.
hough the Madison 56ers began to pick up play in the second half, they just weren't able to make a comeback resulting in a win for the LVSA 1 to 0.
Mercury 97B Green vs. Solar SC Chelsea 98B 1 - 2
Chelsea was a team all on the same page and it showed in their ability to maintain possession the entire games.
The first goal came early in the second half by way of a free kick by Marte Formico that bounced over the goalkeeper's head.
But Chelsea wasn't phased by it and picked up the speed. Nathan De La Hoya made a beautiful cross to defender Ryan De Leon who made a long defensive run the put his right foot on the ball to the back of the net for Chelsea's first goal which tied up the match.
A flurry of Chelsea plays and runs were made between Malik Key, Javier Leija and Max De La Fuente trying hard to get just one more in the back of the net.
But the winning shot came from an unlikely player, Reginald Cannon. This cannon of a defender scored a beautiful right foot shot in the left corner of the goal off of a gorgeous cross from teammate Timothy Watson, another fellow defender.
Chelsea kept their play clean and competitive to seal the win.
