Prolific Scorers dot Great Lakes list
Here is the Players To Watch Team of the Month in July for the Great Lakes Region (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky).
Remember, this feature is to honor top performers in their region over the past month or so and across the span of age groups. There will be a boys' list and a girls' list, and a new region will be
covered every weekday, Tuesday through Friday of each month. You can submit nominations at teamofthemonth@topdrawersoccer.com .

Following is the Girls List, in no particular order:
Abigail Zoeller, Mockingbird 98, U13 (KY), Forward: Led her team in scoring in the State Cup with 5 goals while scoring in all 3 games. Scored the only goal vs. LFC Premier in a 2-1 loss and finished with a hat trick in the final group. Narrowly missed advancing at State Cup but, was in the top 3 on the team in goals and assists this spring.
Keyli Borman. Lexington 98 Girls Premier, U13 (KY), Forward: Had winning goal and assist in State Semifinals in the 2-1 win. Had a hat trick in the 4-3 State Final loss. Was the leading scorer on her team this season.
Reilly Martin, Carmel United ECNL, U15 (IN), Forward: scored several goals during play in the ECNL National Championship. Helped her team get to the Championship game. Is a member of the U15 National Team.
Morgan Proffitt, Carmel United ECNL, U16 (IN), Midfielder: Helped hold down the midfield during the ECNL B Championship Bracket play. The team played in the Final game and beat Ohio Elite 3-0 to be crowned B Flight Champions. Morgan has committed to Marquette University.
Katy Keen, Carmel United ECNL, U15 (IN), Forward: Also found the scoresheet in her team’s run to the championship match at the ECNL Nationals in Denver. A quality player in front of goal and off set pieces.
Casey Whitfield, Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club, U18 (KY), Forward: Attending Louisville in the fall of 2011. Casey has been the Mockingbird team's leading scorer for the past few seasons. She recently won the golden boot for the U18 group at the US Youth Soccer Region II Midwest Championships, scoring 7 goals in five games.
Hannah Konnerman, Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club, U18 (KY), Defender: Attending the Louisville in the fall of 2011. Hannah is Mockingbird team captain and anchors the defense. Her performance at the Regional tournament helped team record two shutouts, while only allowing six goals in five games, helping the team advance to the regional finals.
Niki Hafele, Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club, U18 (KY), Center Midfielder: A rising sophomore at Butler and was named to the All-Freshmen team during her first year at Butler. Niki rejoined Mockingbird in early May after returning from college. In the 11 games she played, the team's overall record was 9-2 (including games for MRL, Kentucky State Cup, and Region II Championships).In the course of those 11 games, she scored 4 goals (including a goal against Eclipse at Regionals) and assisted on countless other goals.
Emily Ogle, Internationals, U15 (OH), Forward: Scored three goals for the Cleveland-area team at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships.
Michelle Manning, Michigan Hawks, U16 (MI), Forward: Michelle led the age group in scoring at the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships with 7 goals as her squad advanced to the national championships.
Summer Green, Michigan Hawks, U16 (MI), Forward: Summer, a U17 Women’s National Team standout, scored 4 goals for her team as they won the Region II Championship in Wisconsin.
Following is the Boys list, in no particular order:
Jackson Witske, Carmel United Elite 97, U14 (IN), Midfielder: Had a good showing at the Region 2 Championships during pool play. Scored 2 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U14 age group.
Mike Thomas, Crew Soccer Academy, U16 (OH) Goalkeeper: Recorded a shutout in net at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Playoffs in Frisco, Texas against Empire United.
Jacob Meyer, CUP Crew Jrs. Gold, U16 (OH-S), Forward: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Final game. Scored 2 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U16 age group.
Caelan Hueber, CUP Crew Jrs. Gold, U16 (OH-S), Forward: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Final game. Scored 2 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U16 age group.
Mark Andrew, CUP Crew Jrs. Gold, U16 (OH-S), Midfielder: Scored in the 83rd minute of the Semifinal Region 2 Championship Tourney match to put his team up 2-1 and advanced them to the Region 2 Finals.
Michael Wainz, Pacesetters Premier, U18 (OH), Midfielder: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Semifinal game. Scored 2 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U18 age group.
Karter Sell, Pacesetters Premier, U18 (OH), Midfielder: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Semifinal game. Scored 3 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U18 age group.
Tyler Riggs, Javanon 92, U19 (KY), Forward: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Semifinal game. Scored 3 goals during tourney to be rated as one of the top 10 scorers at the U19 age group. Team lost 2-1 in the semifinal game.
Jason Stacy, Grand Rapids Crew Juniors, U17 (MI), Forward: Scored 6 goals at the Region II Championships. Has committed to play college soccer at Michigan.
Connor Brehm, Javanon 92, U19 (KY), Forward: Helped team advance to the U.S. Youth Soccer Region 2 Semifinal game. Scored only goal for the team in the semifinal game. The team lost 2-1.
