PORTLAND, Oregon — The inaugural MLS Homegrown Game on Monday had a healthy level of competitive spirit, but the final finishing touch wasn’t there for either the Homegrowns or the Timbers U23s. As a result, the teams struggled to a scoreless draw at Providence Park in one of the marquee events of the All-Star weekend.

Still, there were a handful of players who showcased their abilities in a way that defied the final scoreline. Here’s a glimpse at each of those players and the strides they made going forward.
