Every year the Development Academy surprises us in some way. Whether it’s witnessing the emergence of a young player like Christian Pulisic or a young game-changing squad, the league is still young enough to pull off the unexpected every year.
Earlier this fall, the DA kicked off its 10th season, and we’ve already had some of those abiding surprises dropped into our lap.
This week, we’ll take a look at four U16 and U18 squads who’ve shot out of the gates as pleasant surprises. Today, we begin with the U18s and a glimpse at the top four teams across the country making waves that perhaps few of us expected. Don’t be surprised if a rush of top college stars begin shooting out of these newfound talent hotbeds.
