TDS Combines concludes 2013 in LA
The final TDS Combine of 2013 occurred on Sunday at Veteran’s Park Sports Complex in Pomona, Calif. TDS Combine is a unique experience for soccer players in high school who are trying to attract the interest of college coaches, as the players and players and coaches work closely together during the one-day event.
With over 120 players in attendance on Sunday along with dozens of college coaches, the LA Combine was a perfect opportunity for both player and coach in attendance.
With a format that allows coaches to work with small groups in the morning before scrimmages in the afternoon, there is ample opportunity for the coach and the players to get acquainted with one another.
The players came from near and far, with El Paso, Texas and Montreal, Canada earning special recognition, for a chance to be noticed by a college coach and ranked on the TDS site.
With a wide array of players that ranged from Development Academy and ECNL standouts to high school soccer stars, there was competitiveness to every drill for each group as well as lively displays in the afternoon session scrimmages.
TDS Combines will return in 2014 with dates and locations to be determined. Check back on the official site for updates and news.
