Three Tips for Summer College ID Camps
With the end of the recruiting dead period quickly approaching (June 1), this summer is going to be very busy for club soccer players looking to make up for all of the lost opportunities over the past 18 months. The national playoffs in the various leagues will be a focus for many college coaches as they get a new (or first) look at players in the 2022 and 2023 graduating classes.
For players, the path to collegiate soccer is not wholly dependent on team success though. College ID camps are a great opportunity to get exposure at an individual level from multiple college coaches.
Summer camps are a crucial part of the recruiting journey. The ID camps help coaches get a better feel for the type of player they are bringing into their program, and the camp also serves as a great introduction for the player to prospective coaches.
