One of the most unbelievable hauls of high school talent is about to wash into women’s college soccer like an overwhelming wave.
The class of 2016 is coming.
UCLA snagged each of the top two recruits in the class, most notably bourgeoning USWNT star Mallory Pugh, who’s currently in Rio with the Olympic team. But there’s so much talent here it boggles the mind. And nearly all of it made its name in the ECNL, the girls league with an iron grip on the highest tiers of girls development in this country. Or at least until the U.S. Soccer Development Academy opens its doors in 2017.
Here’s a look at a handful of up-and-coming incoming freshman outside the household names enumerating just how loaded this class is.
